Zipper at Cattails - National Park MAY 4! New Venue!
Mark's down to his final month with Zipper... three shows remaining... a new venue, a favorite venue, and a big public venue!!
First up... Cattails National Park Zipper heads down this Friday to Cattails in National Park! This is a new venue for us! Facebook Event! The show starts at 9pm! So I had never been to Cattails before. Quite honestly the pics of the outside that I found on the internet were misleading. But I took a ride down there tonight (Thurs). Had a few drinks, took some pics. And I really like this place!!! I can't wait to play there Friday night... and actually, i can't wait to get back there again soon just to hang out!! Inside it definately has local bar feel... but its bright and friendly, and much roomier than it looks from the outside. Large bar in front, pool table, a living room set-up (yes, I said that!) Band sits in the room opposite the bar... but everyone gets to hear. Its open. It's inviting. One of the biggest features for summertime is, they have a covered deck on the back, that sits along the river! Tables are set up, and i see a small outside bar, but not sure if it will be open on Friday. But the deck definately will!! Its going to be in the 80s on Friday... its awesome that you can step right out into the cooler cooler air along the river. Location: I had no idea where this place was. Truth is I've driven in this area 100s of times and had no idea it was here. If you know anything about National Park, than you know the Parke Place bar (now called Soulsations). Well from Parke Place go 1/4 on Grove towards West Deptford and as the bridge approaches you'll see the sign for the bar and a turn-off to the right. Its only 3 miles from Westville... home of Hot Shots, Clancy's and Shileens. I really think this is going to be fun! Well it will be fun if the Zipper fans are there!! Cattails 150 Riverview Avenue National Park, NJ 08063 Our original schedule had us playing at the Pike Tavern on this date. Unfortunately the Pike Tavern is closed currently. Brian helped us find a replacement gig. We were really looking forward to playing at the Pike, because Brian and the bar were one of the first places to support us when we were starting out. We wish the best of luck to Brian. Be sure to visit him over at Wink's Tavern in National Park. And a big thanks to Cattails for bringing us in! We are very happy to announce that Zipper has been chosen to perform at the Collingswood May Fair! This is South Jersey's premier town festival. Over 50,000 people enjoying over a mile of fun, food, crafts and music. This event is so big, it has multiple stages!! Zipper will be at Stage 1, down by the Car Show (and Little Louie's BBQ) We perform two sets... Collingswood May Fair May 26 Haddon Ave and Crestmont Near the car show Collingswood NJ Times: 12:45 - 1:30pm 2:30pm - 3:15pm Zipper at Pike Tavern Fri April 6. Dollar Dog Night. Mark is retiring?
Zipper at Hot Shots Westville March 10!
It's only March, and Zipper is back at Hot Shots for our second time... good thing cause its one of our favorite spots.
HOT SHOTS is our ONLY SHOW IN MARCH!!! Mark and Sharon head to Clearwater after later in the week! Anyway Zipper had a great time in January at Hot Shots!!! Great crowd, great sound... WOW!!!! Hot Shots is one of the best places to see a rock show... dedicated stage... dedicated sound system... dedicated lighting system. Great set-up for both the band and the fans. And awesome bartenders!!! A little later start at 10pm. Go take care of some shiznit during the day then come relax with Zipper!!!
